RESOURCE - POLLING GUIDE

It's easy to cherry pick polls to fit pre-conceived notions. To help you get a bigger picture, we've put together a list of polls on attitudes of the American Jewish Community and the electorate.

For general electorate polls we only use neutral sources like non-state owned newspapers and non-commissioned polls from reputable polling firms. Why don't we use commissoned polls When a published poll is funded by a group that already has an agenda, it's because it was constructed through the questions and sampling to produce the result they wanted. That's why we won't use general electorate polls from groups like IMEU, Data for Progress or Zeteo.

We also don't pay attention to polls asking "who do you sympathize with more?" This is a false dichotomy. A person can sympathize more with one group over another but still hold favorable views of both.
